CIVE 6323 Building Information Modeling

This is a comprehensive course that focuses on the practical application of BIM in building construction projects. Topics include fundamentals of BIM, common terminology, BIM communication and collaboration, federated model process, BIM assessment, structure of a BIM Project, tools, applications, selection of tools, contracts liability for BIM, BIM addendum, limitation of coverage in bonds and insurance, risk management for BIM, process for BIM adoption, introduction to Autodesk Revit software.
