REHS 7350 Theories and Techniques for Bilingual Counseling

This course covers the fundamental theories and principles of bilingual counseling, as well as specific counseling theories, therapeutic techniques, and interpersonal communication skills that facilitate counseling relationships with Spanish-speaking clients. Multicultural issues, theories, research, and practice relevant to the field of bilingual counseling are included. Emphasis is placed on the development of advanced multicultural counseling competencies and Spanish language skills. The course is taught in English and in Spanish.
