GSST 4300 Global Security

Provides a comprehensive introduction to the evolving field of global security, which requires the advancement of research and analytical skills. Explored are the evolution and politics of security worldwide. Addressed are a wide range of major international issues and global implications. The most severe threats include security threats from state actors, non-state actors, military threats, environmental insecurity, health insecurity, natural threats, identity threats, and criminal threats. Students identify and debate possible measures to address and prevent these problems.
