BIET 6352 Narrative Bioethics

This course explores the unique interplay of health, illness, disability, culture, professionalism, caring, and healthcare using personal narratives. Storytelling in bioethics comes from multiple perspectives including patients, caregivers, clinicians, psychologists, clergy, and others. The course examines testimonials, medical records, films, journals, works of art, and other media as a mechanism for explaining, understanding, and interpreting human experiences related to health and disease.
