POLS 4353 Race and Gender: The Politics of Intersectionality

This course will examine the politics of women of "color" in the United States. The two primary foci will be: 1. Theoretical issues related to feminism and how they relate to women of "color," 2. Public policy, organizations, and institutions that impact the lives of women of "color." Material is presented in a comparative focus to include examining similarities and differences between and among women, and variations among them.
