INHS 3315 Environmental Health Literacy for Empowerment

Emerging issues in environmental health literacy are examined using current literature and case studies. This course emphasizes the role of environmental factors—such as pollution, water quality, and climate—in the disease process and health outcomes. Students will learn to communicate complex health information effectively, empowering patients to make informed health decisions. Upon critically evaluating environmental health data, students will develop literacy strategies that support patient engagement, education, and preventive practices.
