CIVE 4360 Civil Engineering Design Practice
This course introduces students to practical design methods and professional skills commonly used by civil engineers in specialized areas of practice. Each offering centers on selected design topics, enabling students to understand how real-world projects are developed and documented within the industry. Emphasis is placed on applying design standards, codes, and tools, as well as producing professional documentation and effective communication. Through case studies, hands-on design exercises, and project examples, students gain valuable insights into the decision-making processes that shape engineering practice. May be repeated for additional credit when topic varies.
