MSEN 8315 Fuel Cells, Batteries, and Chemical Sensors

This course will introduce advanced electrochemical principles associated with charge/mass transfer during the reactions. Students will revise fundamental concepts in thermodynamics and kinetics of electrochemical reactions, followed by an in-depth analysis of energy conversion and storage associated with electrocatalysis, photocatalysis, and battery principles. The course will focus on processes and materials needed in fuel cells, batteries, and chemical sensors.
