ARTS 4315 Advanced Publication and Editorial Design

Editorial design is an advanced elective course in complex publications for print, digital and long-form publications. This will incorporate advanced illustration styles, typography, art direction, and copywriting skills to develop various types of books, magazines, zines, ePUB, and experimental publications. Class activities range from creating briefs to establishing editorial themes, feature designs, long-form systems, production techniques, and new media publications. Students will incorporate photography, illustration, typography, and design elements from previous classes. Successful completion of the course will create a more in-depth portfolio while building marketable skills in creative industries.
