SOCW 4311 Social Work Research
This course introduces students to research methods relevant to social work preparing them for Evidence-Informed Practice (EIP) and interventions. Emphasis will be placed on quantitative, qualitative, and mixed method approaches to analyze and interpret social work research. Students will be introduced to the research process (literature review, question formation, ethical considerations, conceptualization, data collection, basic data analysis, results/implication explanation APA style report writing). Also, students will learn the basic knowledge on how to conduct evidence-informed practice.
Prerequisite
SOCW 3375 or departmental approved statistics course and admission into the School of Social Work.
