SOCW 3375 Social Work Statistics

This course introduces the basic concepts and practices of statistics, including frequency tables and distributions; measures of central tendency and dispersion; normal distribution; tests of significance; interval estimation; hypothesis testing; cross-tabulation; chi-square; correlation and simple linear regression. Students will understand social problems’ frequency and trends by collecting and analyzing data. Statistical tools help evaluate interventions, identify community needs, and measure program effectiveness.
