SOCW 3310 Professional Communication in Social Work
This course introduces professional oral and written communication in social work, covering various modalities and settings. Students will learn effective documentation, including APA Style, clinical writing, professional documentation, and online communication. The course also explores the use of technology in communication. Students will practice micro communication (case notes, person-to-person, court reports) and macro communication (advocacy, briefings, community messaging, and project reports).
Prerequisite
Admission into the School of Social Work.
