GSST 3300 Global Security and Intelligence
This course introduces Global Security and Intelligence Studies, helping students understand key threats, actors, and analytical frameworks in international security. Learners will analyze the evolution of security from state-centric to human, economic, and environmental dimensions and evaluate the roles of states, organizations, and non-state actors. Topics include great power competition, military and economic power, the intelligence cycle, and ethical and legal challenges. Students will be able to apply essential concepts and vocabulary for advanced study in the minor.
