GSST 4311 Conflict Studies
This course analyzes the causes, dynamics, and consequences of civil wars. Students will evaluate political, economic, and social drivers of internal conflict and compare theoretical frameworks using historical and contemporary case studies. Emphasis is placed on assessing the roles and strategies of governments, rebel groups, and international organizations. Through empirical analysis and applied research, students will critique conflict patterns and synthesize approaches for resolution, peacebuilding, and post-conflict recovery.
