INFS 3335 Database Management

This course is an introduction to the foundations of database technology. Basic knowledge of data structures, normalization of data, and data modeling will be included. Relational, hierarchical, and network models will be covered. The student will be introduced to the rudiments of the construction of database schema via laboratory experiences stressing application development through advanced programming techniques and SQL.

Prerequisite

Advanced standing. All students pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Economics, or Bachelor of Science in Materials Management and Logistics from VCoBE, must apply for and be admitted to VCoBE before they are allowed to enroll in the Advanced Business Core and Major coursework for their degree.
