COUN 6304 Human Growth and Development for Counseling Professionals

Advanced study in the application of life span developmental theories to human behavior, learning, and personality. Includes understanding the nature and needs of all people at all developmental levels from prenatal through old age. Students must complete an end-of-course practice examination in this course. If students do not pass, they will need to re-take the exam the following semester. Students must pass all end-of-course exams to qualify for the Counselor Preparation Comprehensive Practice Examination in the semester prior to COUN 6365 (Practicum). Additionally, school counseling specialization students enrolled in this course need to complete the Special Education modules with 80% completion or higher.
