COUN 6311 Professional, Ethical, and Legal Issues in Counseling

This course focuses on the ethics codes of professional organizations (APA & ACA) with a major emphasis on professional standards, ethical principles and legal considerations in the counseling profession. Students must complete an end-of-course practice examination in this course. If students do not pass, they will need to re-take the exam the following semester. Students must pass all end-of-course exams to qualify for the Counselor Preparation Comprehensive Practice Examination in the semester prior to COUN 6365 (Practicum).
