DIET 6200 Ethics and Leadership in Dietetics

This course will focus on the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ Scope of Practice and Standards of Professional Practice to reinforce safe, ethical and effective dietetics and nutrition services. Students will use leadership skills to effectively negotiate, debate, and discuss ethical decision making in the field of dietetics. Students will study the role of a mentors, mentees and preceptors in the field of dietetics. Professionalism will be reviewed through resume writing, job interviews, and professional portfolio development.
