DIET 6370 Critical Care and Nutrition Support

This course will examine current knowledge and research in both the mechanics of nourishing the critically ill and the metabolic and immunological roles n utrients play. In addition, the course discusses the impact of nutrition in the malnourished and overnourished patient. Students will examine the use of nutrition support, includingappropriate calculation of needs, timing, and indication.
