DIET 6331 Medical Nutrition Therapy in Disease I

This course will focus on the pathophysiology of certain diseases and the application of the Nutrition Care Process in their prevention and management. Students will use current research to develop appropriate assessments, nutrition diagnosis, interventions, and monitoring/evaluation plans for clients/patients with the following: overweight and obesity, disordered eating, stress/inflammation, hematological disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and endocrine diseases.
