DIET 6344 Culturally Sensitive Counseling in Dietetics
This course will focus on communication skills integrating cultural and religious competencies, social and environmental aspects of diet, and eating behaviors. Interviewing, counseling and education theories and principles are covered along with development of client and group education materials. Simulations, case studies, and mock interviewing and counseling sessions will be included as a part of supervised experiential learning.
Prerequisite
Accepted status in the MS in Dietetics program.
