This course examines the history of science and the environment, focusing on the contexts, individuals, and places that shaped scientific development and its impact on humanity. Topics may include, but are not limited to, natural history and philosophy, cosmography, technology, imperialism, Indigenous knowledge systems, botany, and natural disasters.
