HIST 3315 History of American Religious Traditions

This course traces the development of diverse religious traditions in North America from the colonial era to the present. Topics may include Native American religions, immigrant traditions, new and syncretic movements, American secularization, and political and constitutional issues related to religion. The emphasis is on historical development rather than theological interpretation.
