HIST 3319 Twentieth Century American Wars, 1898-1991

This course examines the history of twentieth-century American wars, spanning from the Spanish-American War of 1898 to the Gulf War of 1991. The course engages with a wide range of readings addressing diplomatic relations, propaganda, soldiers’ experiences, and the impact of war on civil rights reforms, among other topics. Coursework includes assigned readings, discussions, examinations, research papers, book reviews, and primary source analyses.
