PHTH 8415 Management of Patients with Musculoskeletal Disorders III

This course includes a discussion of the biomechanics, kinesiology, motor control, and clinical disorders of the upper member. This course will help prepare students to competently examine a patient with lower extremity dysfunction, evaluate findings, establish a clinical diagnosis, and develop a physical therapy plan of care. Emphasis will be placed on practicing palpation skills, performing clinical tests, and the application of therapeutic treatment techniques that include therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and patient education on real or simulated patients in a clinical laboratory setting.
