HGEN 8301 Molecular Genetics

This course covers the organization, replication, repair and recombination, and transcription of DNA; RNA processing and translation; and omics approaches in research.  The use of genome-wide approaches for gene identification and assessments of gene function will be covered. Lectures will incorporate current literature to highlight new directions in molecular genetic research.
