HGEN 8335 Advanced Topics in Bioinformatics

This course will cover timely computational and statistical topics within the field of bioinformatics, which centers around organizing and analyzing large amounts of biological information. The course will cover methods for assessing and interpreting genetic variation, gene expression, genome methylation, protein expression, and metabolomic profiles. Publicly available databases and their utility for research and clinical practice will be discussed. May be repeated when the topic varies.
