HGEN 8345 Field Studies of Human Populations

This course is focused on the design and implementation of field studies of human populations for genetic research.  Topics covered will include study design, cultural settings, language issues, population sampling approaches, pedigree reconstruction, biological sample collection, sample transfer processes, regulatory issues related to work at foreign sites, and developing and maintaining collaborations.
