PHTH 8464 Clinical Medicine II

This course covers a variety of topics. It begins by reviewing principles of gait analysis and application to the use of prosthetics and orthotics in patients with lower extremity amputation. Additionally, the course will introduce students to medical imaging, electroneuromyography, and other selected diagnostic tests as related to physical therapist practice. Emphasis will be placed on documentation of results of medical imaging procedures and the use and interpretation of muscle and nerve integrity testing via nerve conduction velocity techniques and electromyography.
